The market may be in a standstill until after Fed Chair Jerome Powell speaks today.
What I’ll be watching for today is whether $SPY can break above 411 and trend back up to 415 or so.

The market was down but pretty much range-bound today.
It was hard to gain traction on the long side, and I was stopped out of a few names.

I mentioned in Friday’s Morning Briefing that if $SPY really breaks below 412.88, we can see 408.
SPY traded in that range this morning. Currently, 408 is support.
If we bounce, we can head back up to 411. If not, we can see 405.13.

Mega-Cap Tech hung on today, and so did the market.
$SPY held yesterday’s low and headed higher.
We still can see SPY 421 in time.

Happy Friday!
Well, the tech heavyweights that reported last night had a bumpy evening.
Question is, will $AMZN, $GOOGL, and $AAPL gap and go lower or reverse and bounce?

Markets continued higher today…
And then, around 2:00 p.m. ET, the indices took a much-needed breather.

For some time now, I’ve said $SPY can touch 410. We’re here now.
If we continue to hold on and slightly contract, then SPY can see 421.

What a day… February started off with a bang!
I mentioned in the live trading room that if the market likes what Fed Chair Jerome Powell has to say we can see $SPY 410.
We sure did hit that level… and then some.
