Fed Chair Jerome Powell spoke again today, but the market could not get going to the upside.
The semiconductors have been very strong this week. That’s usually a positive sign for the market.
Maybe they’re decoupling; time will tell.
Here are today’s trades:
- I shorted $FSLR on March 7 at 214.29 and 211.44 and covered today at 211.28.
- I bought $META at 182.59 and sold at 183.09.
I booked one loser:
- I bought $VLO at 131.21 and sold at 130.60. I traded this small for a bounce. I was looking for a move to 131.71, and it did eventually head there.
I have open long positions in $HES, $MARA, $AMZN, $GOOGL, $RBLX, and $SQQQ. I have an open short position in $DKS.
If we don’t start to rally out of this zone soon, the $SPX can drop down to 3,940.
