[Podcast] An Interview With Larry McDonald | Conversations with JC Parets

April 18, 2022

Today we sit down with my old pal Larry McDonald.

When it comes to the bond market, Larry is the guy I want to talk to. And with Bonds getting off to their worst start to a year, maybe ever, what better time than the present to dive into the fixed income markets?

While I had him, we also discussed the equities markets, commodities, metals and Crypto.

This was a fun one.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

[Video] Best Burger In NYC? And Some Charts Too!

March 5, 2022

It's always fun dropping by the Ritholtz office in New York City.

Basically what happens is we yell at each other for about an hour, and then we go out to eat and drink until we pass out.

It's pretty great.

On this episode of the Compound and Friends, I sit down with Josh Brown, Michael Batnick, and my old pal Dan Nathan joined us this time as well.

As usual, we ripped through some charts, but we also discuss the best burger in New York City.

I thought my answer was the right one. But it turns out Dan Nathan was right all along. I trust this man with my life.

Hope you enjoy!

"Will we enter into a bear market?"

February 16, 2022

Humans are fascinating creatures.

Believe it or not, there are people still asking me if stocks will enter into a bear market.

Meanwhile over 70% of the Nasdaq fell 20% over the past year, and almost half the stocks on the Nasdaq got cut in half.

If you think that’s a bull market then you should probably check yourself into a mental hospital.

Resistance at Zero

February 1, 2022

It still cracks me up every time I hear that.

"German 10yr Yield is still dealing with resistance at zero".

Is it funny to you too or am I just being a child?

Anyway, joking aside, this is the first time in years that German 10yr Yields have been above zero.

Rates in general have been moving higher, not just in the U.S., but around the world.

What Do Stock Market Bulls Have Left?

January 22, 2022

Bonds & Commodities. That's what the stock market bulls still have left.

But why do Futures matter to stock traders and investors?

Because the bond market and commodities market combined are waaaaay bigger than the stock market.

It starts with the information we're getting from futures markets, and then it trickles down to everything else from there.

With the stock market losing key support in the Nasdaq, S&P500, Small-caps, Transports and Bitcoin, what's left?

I think these 2 are what the bulls have left....
