3 Charts to Prepare for the Fall

This is a rangebound market. And it's probably going to continue to be the case until this group of charts are able to resolve higher.

We discussed it all right at the beginning of last night's LIVE call.

The S&P500 and Nasdaq100 peaked in July and the new 52-week high list peaked almost 2 months ago.

Meanwhile, look at Commodities continuing to outperform the S&P500 over the past few years.

Is this trend now resuming?

If we know anything about commodities cycles, it's that they don't just last a couple of years. They tend to last over a decade.

So is this commodities boom just getting going?

Well, there's no evidence that it isn't.

And I think it's something to monitor closely. We discussed it all last night during our LIVE Conference Call.

Now, if you're wondering what has kept stocks under pressure throughout the back half of the summer, look no further than the US Dollar.

We've seen a very strong negative correlation between the Dollar and stocks over the past 7 years or so.

And while we understand that correlations do change, this one has not.

This squeeze higher in the Dollar came exactly when stocks stopped going up.

This is not a coincidence:

These are 3 charts that I think tell the story about the current market environment.

This is much different than the first half of the year, which again, is to be expected and we've welcomed it with open arms.

But what are we doing about it now? In September? And throughout the rest of the year?
