China Is Like Notre Dame

July 1, 2022

China is an emerging market right? But is it?

While it's the biggest component of the Emerging Markets Index $EEM, is it something larger, maybe more developed?

It doesn't really have a category.

It's like Notre Dame Football.

Ian Culley nailed it during our analyst meeting this week when he said, "China is kind of like Notre Dame"

And for those of you who don't follow College Football, Notre Dame historically never belongs to any single conference. They play an ACC schedule but aren't in the ACC. It's complicated. Kind of like China....

Meanwhile, I continue to be impressed with the relative strength coming out of Chinese Stocks. Look at the lower lows and lower highs in the Nasdaq compared with the higher lows and higher highs in China:

Is this sort of relative strength sustainable?

How much window dressing was involved late this month?

What other areas stand out among equities?

We'll be talking about all of this on Tuesday night's live Call. Premium Members we get going at 6PM ET this Tuesday July 5th.

You can register here if you haven't already.

I think this volatility can present some generational opportunities. I've seen this before. But there are smart ways to do this and reckless ones.

We try to do things the right way.

We'll go over it all on Tuesday night!
