Chart of the Day: 0% Tech
Here's the thing. When Technology was hot, London's FTSE was a serial underperformer.
UK was an afterthought, at best.
But now that anything with too much Tech exposure is getting slaughtered (ahem USA), the relative strength really stands out.
There's an ETF with the ticker $EWU that's probably worth checking out. Less than 1% of the ETF is in the Technology Sector.
But the consequences of its weightings are that the underlying index FTSE100 has done absolutely nothing for 2 decades.
Is it time for UK to get its turn in the rotation?
How many investors are prepared for a long period of U.S. underperformance?
I'm thinking most investors are not prepared for that.
I like the pain trade here. And I think UK is worth keeping a close eye on.
