Nifty 500 Semi-Annual Reconstitution

October 22, 2018

This weekend we updated our chartbooks for Premium Members of Allstarcharts India, so I wanted to do a quick post outlining the changes to our universe of stocks since the end of the first quarter.

Semi-annually, Nifty Indices are reconstituted based on the 6 months data ending January and July respectively, with the changes being implemented after the March and September Futures and Options Expirations.

During the September reconstitution, there were 35 stocks added to the Nifty 500 and 34 removed. Below is a table outlining the changes.

Click on table to enlarge view.

Any changes that are applicable to our chartbooks have been reflected as of this weekend. Please allow a day or two for our equally-weighted chartbooks to be updated as this is a manual process that takes time.

We will still be covering the 34 stocks that have been removed, however, they'll only appear in blog posts when they are relevant to our analysis.

If you're not a Premium Member but felt this update was helpful, consider joining our community by signing up for our "Free Chart of the Week" or starting a risk-free trial to access our other premium research.

Thanks for reading and please let us know if you have any questions.
