Elon has done his job better than any other CEO in the world.
The role of a CEO is to increase shareholder value. Period.
How about a 3000% return in a couple of years, followed by a few years digesting those gains. And then another 180% return from the lows this Spring, adding an additional $800 Billion in market-cap...
Here is a chart showing the highest monthly close in company history. Highest Quarterly close in company history. And the highest annual close in the history of Tesla.
This is what winning looks like:
Now keep in mind, the reason we were buying Tesla so aggressively this summer had nothing to do with their auto manufacturing. I forgot they even made cars.
It was really just a function of sector rotation.
The historic breakout for Elon came well before any bromance between him and Trump.
To be honest, I very much underestimated how much their mutual man crushes would help all things Elon Musk, including the space stocks and the Dogecoin, among other things.
It was really just rotation back into Consumer Discretionary. This group had been such an underperformer for so long, and Tesla was such a large weighting, that if Discretionary was going to make a comeback, then Tesla, mathematically, had to do really well.
And sure enough, that's exactly what happened.
Take a look at Consumer Discretionary with the highest monthly close in its history. Same thing with the Nasdaq100:
Part of the reason to get long this summer, outside of the rotation, was how angry Elon and Tesla were making the liberals. The extremists let politics influence their decision making in the market.
That's never good.
But hey, in America you have the right to do that. But also in America, investors have every right to profit from your stupidly.
And that's what we did. With Tesla ripping in all their faces, the kids would argue that "Elon owned the Libs".
Now here's the thing. It works both ways. Just like Tesla ripped in all the libs' faces, I think Disney $DIS is about to give a similar smackdown to the extreme righties.
We'll be walking through the trade on Monday during our first LIVE Monthly Strategy Session of the new Year. Click here to sign up and join us.
Remember, if you let your politics influence your decisions in the market, that by definition, makes you an extremist.
And you're welcome to do whatever makes you happy and live whatever lifestyle is best for you.
I don't judge.
But I'll tell you this - I'm going to be right here watching and looking to take all that money for myself.
That's what we do here at Allstarcharts. We look for opportunities to make money, particularly when human flaws are exposed.
Tesla was that.
I think Disney is going to be that too.
And you can CLICK HERE to get all the updates on both of these stocks throughout 2025, and all the rest of the opportunities that will come across my desk.
Remember, with your subscription to ASC Research, you're not just getting me - you're getting the entire team: Steve Strazza, Grant Hawkridge, Alfonso De Pablos, Sam Gatlin, Jason Perz, and Rick Saraf Aboumrad...

Think about how much better it is to navigate the market knowing you have an entire team by your side, instead of just going at it by yourself.
It's a team effort. I will be the first one to tell you that, and hand over all the credit to the others listed above.
