It was Chop City for the market today.

It will likely pick a direction soon. 

Here are today’s trades:

  • I bought $AMZN at 111.70 and sold at 112.48.

I called out $GOOGL yesterday for a move to 115 and then this morning for a move to 116.74. I traded it yesterday.

I also called out $NFLX at 337 for a move to 339, then 340. I did buy it, but I sold fast for 20 cents. I also bought $JD and sold for a small 18-cent loss. NFLX and JD offset one another.

I have open long positions in $HES, $VXX, and $IBM. And I have open short positions in $QQQ and $SNOW.

The Nasdaq already has chosen, it's just a lot of names are chopping around.

Not very exciting on the trading end.
