Easier To Find New Highs

December 3, 2022

Let me ask you this: In bear markets does it historically get easier and easier to find stocks making new all-time highs?

Where I grew up, new all-time highs, yet alone more and more of them every day, are not something that we normally see in bear markets.

And here we are. I can't remember the last time it was this easy to find stocks breaking out to new highs. And not just new 3-month highs or even 52-week highs.

Stocks are breaking out to new ALL-TIME Highs.

And not just in one or two sectors.

We're seeing it in Financials, Industrials, Technology, Energy, Healthcare, Staples, Telecom and more.

Here's a Financial Stock Globe Life breaking out to new all-time highs:

Here's one of the Industrial stocks that are making new all-time highs - General Dynamics:

Even some Technology stocks are making new all-time highs. Here's Motorola:

Energy, of course, has plenty of representation on the All-time High list. Here's Exxon, arguably the most important of all the Energy stocks:

Healthcare also has plenty making new all-time highs. But here's Merck as an example:

Consumer Staples across the cap scale continuing to pop up on the new all-time highs list. Here's Monster Beverage:

And even in Telecom. Look at T-Mobile continuing to make new all-time highs:

I can keep going if you want, but I think you get the point.

New all-time highs keep getting easier and easier to find.

Is that something we normally see in bear markets?

Or is that just normal behavior for bull markets?

Either way, we will continue to spend our time looking for stocks to buy. That decision keeps rewarding us with cash in our pockets. The people doing the opposite keep getting penalized for that decision.
