Buffett Adds More OXY

In today’s action, there was a large inside purchase reported by Sequoia Capital in the food delivery company DoorDash $DASH.

Sequoia has been a long-time investor in the stock.

In other insider purchases, Durable Capital Partners reported a buy worth roughly $5 million in Duolingo $DUOL.

And an Ambarella $AMBA director disclosed a purchase of just over $1 million in his company’s stock.

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway $BRK.A also disclosed more buying in Occidental Petroleum $OXY.

In its latest Form 4 filing, the investment firm reveals a position of nearly 120 million shares.

One of the 13G filings that stands out is the asset management firm Arrowmark Partners revealing a 10% ownership stake in the home service plan provider, Frontdoor $FTDR.

The firm now owns more than 8 million shares.

Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville filed another Periodic Transaction Report.

Tuberville, who’s been very active in commodity-related investments recently, appears to be rolling into longer-dated corn futures contracts in addition to adding some US Steel $X to his portfolio.

We’re also seeing the travel and leisure theme continue to play out, as investors placed bullish options bets on two separate casino stocks on Friday.

There was activity in the Wynn Resorts $WYNN April calls and Melco Resorts $MLCO July calls.
