It's a big world out there.

Our portfolios don't have to revolve around what's happening in silicon valley.

That was maybe a good way to think the past 10 years, but that's a terrible way to think today, and potentially over the next 10 years.

I have no idea. And neither do you. So maybe it will be helpful to try and keep an open mind.

But in the meantime, let's worry about the now.

Look at Peru leading the way.

Here's the local chart breaking out to new all-time highs after making no progress for a decade and a half:

Check out South Africa breaking out to new all-time highs.

To be sure, these are not characteristics of downtrends:

We're seeing it across areas that have been underperformers for quite some time.

Take a look at the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite Index breaking out of a multi-year base to new all-time highs:

This trend has been taking place for a few months now.

So was that it? Was that the mean reversion and now we get back to the way things were before?

Or is this just the beginning?

"But JC, I don't trade foreign stocks. I live in America"

Well then too bad.

There are plenty of ways to gain exposure overseas. In fact, there are more vehicles than ever.

So why should we feel bad?

Did you think US stocks would outperform forever?

Why should it matter if we're making money in US Tech stocks or in Chilean Materials stocks?

It doesn't matter to me one bit.

And I couldn't imagine why it would matter to you.

Our International Hall of Famers list is composed of the 100 largest US-listed international stocks, or ADRs.

Here’s this week’s list of the most important stocks from around the world:

And here’s how we arrived at it…

  • We filtered out any names that were below their February 8, 2021 high, as this is when new 52-week highs peaked for our expanded ADR universe of over 1,000 stocks.
  • We removed laggards which are down 5% or more relative to the S&P 500 over the trailing month.
  • Then we sorted the names remaining in the list by their proximity to new 52-week highs.
