U.S. = Worst Performer In Western Hemisphere

February 17, 2022

"JC I only invest in U.S. Stocks"

Why, because those are the ones that did the best over the past decade?

Is it too challenging for you to overcome your home country bias?

Or is it your recency bias that you can't get over?

My guess is that it's likely a healthy dose of both...

Here are your U.S. Indexes.

Messy, is putting it nicely....

The U.S. Stock Market is the worst performer in the Western Hemisphere this year.

You could have owned anything but US stocks and probably done really well.

That's the problem with so much exposure to Growth stocks when interest rates are rising.

And guess what? Interest rates have been rising....

It's the more Value-oriented sectors that continue to outperform, which is perfectly normal if history means anything to you.

And as it turns out, almost every other country on earth (outside of Taiwan) has more exposure to those Cyclical type stocks that fall in that Value category.

Here's what the S&P ADR Index looks like. These are all the foreign stocks that trade on U.S. exchanges:

Is this a chart you want to buy?

It is for me....

But only because I don't have to pretend I'm a "Growth Investor", whatever that is.

If you're a "Growth Investor" and that's all you know how to do, that makes you no better than a gold bug, or a permabear or even those laser eye people.

If you can't keep an open mind, then you're just as bad as all those other groups.

Why should it matter if it's a tech stock in America, or an energy stock in Brazil, or a bank in Canada?

It doesn't matter.

We'll be discussing all of this and what we're doing about the current circumstances on Tuesday night's Live Conference Call.

Premium Members can register here.

We get going LIVE Tuesday night Feb 22nd @ 6PM ET.

I'll have 150 charts ready to rip through together in under an hour. I'm confident it will be one of the more valuable hours of your 2022 so far.

See you then!

JC
