Chart Summit 2019 That's A Wrap!

February 25, 2019

Chart Summit 2019 is in the books. This is the first time I've ever hosted a live financial conference. The last 2 Chart Summits were 100% virtual. I'm not exactly a "conference thrower" and neither is my co-host Brian Shannon. But somehow everything worked out and we had an incredible few days up in beautiful Breckenridge Colorado!

Brian and I love skiing and analyzing charts. As it turns out, there are a lot of other people like that too! I'd like to thank everyone who attended our event. It would not have been possible without you!

I would also like to give a special shoutout to our sponsor Stocktwits.

Optuma was the official Charting Software of Chart Summit! Also, Speedtrader, Tradeideas, CMT Association, TrendSpider, TradingAnalysis.com, Investors Business Daily and Investopedia - Thank you for all your support!

On the first day, a bunch of us took a cat up all day. This is the machine that drove us up to 4000 acres of fresh powder!

Here we are at 12,000+ feet of elevation: Brian Shannon, Jon Najarian, Todd Gordon, Dan Mirkin and Steve Gomez

Rachelle Daglis enjoying herself on the mountain!

After crushing it on the slopes for 2 days, the presentations got started on Friday afternoon:

Todd Gordon giving my favorite presentation of the entire event where he made the comparisons between ski racing and trading. I thought this was very well done and made a ton of sense. The video will be out shortly!

Here I am giving my presentation on the Top/Down approach to Financial Markets using Technical Analysis. You can watch the video here.

Co-host Brian Shannon taking notes!

As good as the presentations were on the first day, it was the networking in between speakers and in the evening afterwards that made this all worth it. We had so much fun!

I always said that if I ever hosted a financial conference, I only had 2 requests:

  1. Must be open bar the entire time
  2. We're only playing 90s hip hop

Mission accomplished!

Jean Carlo only playing the hottest tracks!

Between the alcohol and the altitude, it was tough getting up in the morning to go skiing again all day. But everyone made it out!

Here's Todd Gordon sharing his knowledge with young up-and-comers Patrick Dunuwila and Riley Rosenberger

We understand that not everyone is a skier or snowboarder so we set up snowmobiling tours so everyone could get out and see the beauty that Colorado has to offer. What an amazing place!

After another awesome day on the slopes for everyone, snowboarders, skiers and snowmobilers, it was time for more charts! I mean, it was "Chart Summit" after all!

We started out Day 2 with a fireside chat with Howard Lindzon about what he likes to call, 'Chart Art' and the current trends he's seeing out there on both public and private markets. You can listen to the audio on the podcast here.

Our very own Tom Bruni put on an amazing presentation about Market Breadth. He made some great points and this video will be out shortly!

Sean McLaughlin interviewing Jon Najarian was awesome! This is Sean's interpretation of "Mountain Casual":

Even after days of skiing, late nights at the local pub and a ton of presentations, we still had a packed house until the end!

Here we are with Aayush who flew to Chart Summit all the way from India!

These are just a few of the shots I found on my phone or on social media.

You can watch my presentation here. The other videos will be out shortly

If you weren't able to make it this year we understand. Chart Summit 2020 will be even better!

Stay tuned....
