Six Months of Blogging and Still Kicking
It's not quite a Blogoversary yet, but it's something that I'm definitely proud of. Would you call it a Blog-Six-Mensiversary? Half-A-Blogoversary? Not really sure.
I just want to say, Thank you.
Thank you to my readers. Thank you to my new friends. Thank you to my family. In just short time I have learned so much, not just through others, but about myself. I've met so many new friends and have been reached out to by so many people that I have respected in the business my entire career. I am so grateful.
Since March of this year, I have shared some of my own Technical Analysis, posted some of the great work done by heroes of mine in the field, and have put up charts that don't necessarily need any technical skills, but tell an economic story on their own.
I would like to thank my long-time friend Downtown Josh Brown, @Reformedbroker, for introducing me some of the Stocktwits crew a couple of years back. I was a long time user, but not necessarily a contributor to the stream, until Phil Pearlman got me set up and going. Thanks Phil. Also Howard Lindzon, for making this all happen. You're the man Howard.
Through Stocktwits I've been able to meet so many great people. I could not be happier. Since launching AllStarCharts, a lot has happened in six short months:
S&P500 is down 12.5%
Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 9.5%
Gold is up 13.5%
The Dallas Mavericks won an NBA title
The Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup
The Chicago Cubs didn't win the World Series (Again)
US 10-year Treasury Yields are crushed
Steve Jobs stepped down as CEO of $AAPL. Warren Buffett is still rockin' & rollin' at $BRKA
Veteran CNBC Anchor Mark Haines suddenly passed away. Mornings at work just aren't the same. My condolences go out to his family and close friends.
The Market has had its ups and downs but I've tried my best to get my reader's minds thinking. I'm not here to offer advice or tell people when to buy or sell, that's my day job. Allstarcharts is designed to show people some of the things I'm looking at. I do everything I can to share some of the thoughts of technicians that I respect most in the industry. Sometimes they're right, sometimes they're wrong. But they all have gained my respect over the years for their great work and dedication to the field of Technical Analysis.
I am amazed to say that Allstarcharts has been viewed from over 150 counties and pretty much every major city in the world. I have been featured on Yahoo Finance Breakout, Wall St Journal Online, CNN Money, and Marketwatch among others. Most recently I've become a contributor to SFO Magazine and Marketwatch's new section called The Trading Deck.
It really has been a humbling experience. I am excited to continue to share with you my thoughts on the macro market environment. I'll do the best I can to post the Technical Analysis and Intermarket work done by the best of the best in the business. If there is a chart out there that tells a story that can help make sense of all this - I'll put it up in a heartbeat.
Thank you again for reading. I really do appreciate all the support.
