To get the news that you actually care about, customize your Twitter account to follow users who provide timely information on things you care about personally. For example, I follow @Alphatrends because he's a great trader and author of one of my favorite trading books. I follow @insidetheU to get updates on how my Miami Hurricanes football team is looking this Spring. @newyorkology updates me on events and cool stuff happening in New York City, where I live. @ESPN does it's thing. @Breakingnews is good. @Yahoofinance is great. I think you get the point.
