First and foremost, a very Happy Thanksgiving to all.

The bull flag pattern I've spoken about is in the process of breaking out. If this continues, this market can head toward $SPX 4,020.

The market chopped around the fist half of the day and rallied into the close.

It's still coiling for a bigger move, I'd like to think.

To me, this market is coiling for the next big move.

As I've mentioned, if we continue to hold $SPX 3,934, there's potential up to SPX 4,020. Until then, this market is very choppy.

That was a very choppy day. And it could potentially be like this all week.

We have multiple Fed speakers this week, with FOMC minutes on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. ET.

A little pull-in for the futures this morning, though we're still hovering around $SPX 3,950.

Currently, we're forming a bull flag on the indices, but I'd like to see SPX 3,934 held.

Tough action in the market this week.

We started at $SPX 4,008 then dropped down to 3,906. Looks like the index is forming a bull flag.

Next week is typically a bullish week.

The indices recaptured their respective eight-day moving averages, and it seems they're forming bull flags.

Maybe now we are on the way to $SPY 403.

Today was like a strange pendulum -- back and forth and up and down and all around.

The $SPY tried hard all morning to hold on to the eight-day moving average at 391.40.

Once $AAPL started to move higher, so did the indices -- SPY ran up to 394-plus.

The S&P futures broke below 3,950, and now they're riding the eight-day moving average at 3,930.

So far, this is a healthy contraction, one that I've been looking for.

What a day.

The market pulled in from this morning's economic data, plus news out on semiconductors didn't help, either.

Looks like we're heading for a flat open for the market as I write this morning.

We're still hovering near the $SPX 4,000 level. Resistance is at 4,037, then 4,062.

The market was holding steady until a news report took the $SPX down to roughly 3,950.

That news report was later negated, and now we're back to where we started the day near the 4,000 level.
