It was a sleepy morning for the market...

And, of course, that changed as the day went on.

It's a big day today.

Will the Fed raise by 50 basis points or 25 basis points? Or will it do nothing? I'm thinking 25 basis points.

However it turns out, expect volatility.

It was a nice day in the market overall.

We gapped up but didn't pull back into yesterday's high on the indices.

The market is gapping up nicely into the next resistance zone.

For $SPY, we have to watch this 396.50 area. If it can clear this level, there's room to 400.

Otherwise it's back down to 393 or so.

The market was very whippy today, and I believe it will be this way till after the Fed on Wednesday.

We'll take it day by day.

It's been a very volatile year so far, and we have the Fed this week, so expect even more chop.

I really wanted $SPY to close above its 200-day moving average, but that didn't happen on Friday.

It's due for a rest, and we have the Fed next week.

Well, it's certainly nice to see some green on the screen!

$SPY made it above 393, and $QQQ was full speed ahead, up over 2%.

Futures were all over the place in the middle of the night.

Lets see if the market can gain some footing and continue higher.

This morning it looked like we were heading into the abyss.

Then came a decent bounce, led by tech stocks.

Well, they don't call it Schlump Day for nothing.

The market is getting hit this morning, as the bank mess could be spilling over to other sector.

Today, I'm watching to see how $SPY holds on to the 384 level. If not, we can head back down to 380.
