Swing Trader Pro: Afternoon Briefing (09-06-2023)

September 6, 2023

From the Desk of Kimmy Sokoloff

The S&P 500 dropped right down to the breakout level from last week.

Question is, do we hold or head down to 4,430, then 4415?

This index needs to hold above 4,475 to head back up hill.

Here are today’s trades:

  • I bought $UPST at 34.43 and sold at 35.
  • I bought $U at 38.97 and sold at 39.48.
  • I shorted $TSLA at 247.49 and covered at 246.99.
  • I shorted $LULU at 397.50 and covered at 397.
  • I shorted $CRWD at 166.50 and 166 and covered at 165.50.

I also called out a $LYFT short at 11.35. I did short it at 11.34 and covered at 11.01.

I booked two losers:

  • I bought $EXPE on September 5 at 111.44 and sold today at 107.45. I bought very small, as it was in between two moving averages.
  • I bought $META at 302.98, added at 300 and sold those shares at 301.40, and was stopped out of rest at 299. I lost 2.58 points.

I have open long positions in $VXX, $AMZN, and $UPS.

I have open short positions in $QQQ, $KLAC, $NFLX, $ADBE, and $CELH.

Have a great evening. Look for the Morning Briefing on Thursday.
