Price action was sloppy early and then, around midday, the indices started to trend higher.

The morning trading was trying to squeeze dry lemons.

Here are today’s trades:

  • I bought $SCHW on April 5 at 49 and sold after hours on April 6 at 49.80.
  • I bought $MU at 61.89 and sold at 62.45.
  • I bought $VLO at 135.37 and sold at 135.93.
  • I bought $NVDA at 271.48 and sold at 272.48.

I did a few other trades that I sold out for very small profit. They weren't moving early but they moved later on: I made 18 cents on $AMAT, I made 12 cents on $DIS, and I made 11 cents on $UNH. AMAT and UNH popped.

I booked one loser:

  • I bought $TGT at 166.16 and sold at 166. This one ripped.

I have open long positions in $HES, $VXX, and $ERY.

I did mention in the live trading room to watch $QQQ above 316 for a trade higher.
