Swing Trader Pro: Afternoon Briefing (11-15-2022)

November 15, 2022

From the Desk of Kimmy Sokoloff

The market was holding steady until a news report took the $SPX down to roughly 3,950.

That news report was later negated, and now we're back to where we started the day near the 4,000 level.

Here are today’s trades:

  • I shorted $ETSY at 125 and covered at 123.70.
  • I shorted $XLK at 134.53 and covered at 133.68.
  • I shorted $VLO at 137.75 and covered at 137.15.
  • I shorted $TMUS at 145.30 and covered at 144.95. I covered way too soon here; I was looking for a buck move but didn't stay with it.
  • I shorted $JPM on Nov. 10 at 133.52 and covered on Nov. 14 at 132.39.

I also called out a bunch of other names, including entries and targets, that people in the live trading room took.

I have two open positions, an $LRCX short and an $NET short.

It doesn't feel like this market is ready to pull in. And, if that's the case, then we can see 403 and then 408 on $SPY.

I still think a contraction would be healthier.

Time will tell.

We’ll see you live at tomorrow’s open to start the trading day.

And please reach out with any questions.
