Co-Founder Jim DeFranco Is Buying DISH Shares

Jim DeFranco, the executive vice-president of Dish Network $DISH, is on our list again today with his fifth Form 4 filing in August alone.

DeFranco, who co-founded the broadcasting company over 40 years ago, disclosed a purchase of $2.5 million in his latest filing.

Angelo Gordon & Company filed an amended 13D in Northern Oil and Gas $NOG.

The hedge fund now owns 9.70% of outstanding shares in the oil & gas company, a material increase from the roughly 6% stake they last reported in March.

The CEOs of American Assets Trust $AAT and Treace Medical Concepts $TREE both filed Form 4s reporting small purchases of their own stock.

In another 13D, General Atlantic LP revealed a new ownership stake of 5.70% in the Brazilian investment management company XP Inc $XP.

In the options market, there was bullish flow in Google $GOOGL, Block $SQ, and Crocs $CROX.

On the other hand, Cinemark Holdings $CNK experienced bearish flow.
