Elliott Management Gets Active With Pinterest

Last night, the Wall Street Journal reported that Paul Singer’s Elliott Management is now the largest investor in Pinterest $PINS, having built a stake greater than 9%.

While the hedge fund hasn’t filed anything with the SEC yet, it has apparently been in discussions with the social media company for the past several weeks.

We should know more soon.

The largest insider transaction on today’s list is a Form 4 filing by Mitchell Jacobson, who reported a purchase of roughly $14.5 million in MSC Industrial Direct $MSM.

Farallon Capital Partners filed a 13G revealing a passive ownership stake of 5.10% in the mid-cap biotech company Beam Therapeutics $BEAM.

Venrock Capital’s Nimish Shah disclosed the purchase of approximately $1 million worth of shares in the small-cap pharmaceutical company Tricida $TCDA.

Another 13G was filed by Senvest Management LLC, as the hedge fund revealed a 5.70% ownership stake in Kornit Digital $KRNT.

Horizon Kinetics Asset Management revealed a small purchase in Texas Pacific Land Corporation $TPL, as the real estate holding company presses back toward record highs.

In the options market, there was bullish flow in Barrick Gold $GOLD, Las Vegas Sands $LVS, and Taiwan Semiconductor $TSM.
