Speaker Pelosi Is Bullish on Big Tech

Late last week, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi reported the purchase of a variety of deep in-the-money call options in Apple $AAPL and Microsoft $MSFT.

The contracts expire in March and June of next year.

Over the past few years, Pelosi has made some very profitable trades using in-the-money calls in names such as Tesla $TSLA and Nvidia $NVDA.

The largest insider transaction on today's list is a Form 4 filing by Biotechnology Value Fund revealing a $21.8 million purchase in the small-cap biotech company Repair Therapeutics $RPTX.

This brings the fund’s total ownership interest to 19.4%.

Edward Shapiro, independent director of United Airlines $UAL, revealed a purchase of $4.4 million worth of stock in the airline company.

Baker Bros Advisors is on our list again with a 13D revealing an increased ownership stake in Kodiak Sciences $KOD.

It now owns 33.40% of outstanding shares.

In another Form 4, the CFO of NetApp $NTAP purchased $360,216 of his company's stock.

The only 13G on our list today was filed by James Flynn of Deerfield Management LP. The hedge fund reported a passive ownership stake of 5.41% in Evolus $EOLS.

In a 13D filing Fortress Mosaic Investors reported an active ownership stake of 13% in Vivint Smart Home $VVNT.

In the options market, there was bullish flow in the multinational food manufacturer Kellogg $K, the computer technology corporation $Oracle $ORCL, and the retail broker Robinhood $HOOD.
