Icahn Adds to Southwest Gas Position

Last week, Carl Icahn filed a 13D revealing an ownership position of 5,089,703 shares in the natural gas services company Southwest Gas Holdings $SWX.

Icahn first purchased the stock in the second half of 2021. After a recent acquisition of an additional 2 million shares, Icahn’s total interest is 7.6%.

Biotechnology Value Fund revealed the purchase of roughly $8.2 million worth of Cullinan Oncology $CGEM in a Form 4.

In another Form 4, director Thomas Sinnickson Gayner of Cable One $CABO purchased $6,455,850 of his company’s stock. Gayner is also the CEO of the insurance company Markel $MKL.

Abdiel Capital Management revealed an additional purchase of roughly $1.8 million in Appian Corporation $APPN, as the hedge fund continues to build its position.

David Adelman filed a form 4 reporting a purchase of about $650,000 in the on-demand private jet company Wheels Up Experience $UP.

There was also a large insider buy by the founder, chairman, and CEO of the online learning platform Nerdy Inc $NRDY.

Chuck Cohn reported a purchase of roughly $1.3 million in the battered software stock.

Last but not least, there was bullish options flow in three software stocks, Stem $STEM, Box $BOX, and Dropbox $DBX.

There was also bearish flow in the micro-cap bookstore chain Barnes & Noble Education $BNED.
