GameStop Insider "Puts His Money Where His Mouth Is"

March 23, 2022

There are a handful of interesting Form 4 filings on today’s list.

One name that stands out is the popular meme stock GameStop $GME.

The company chairman (and Chewy $CHWY founder) Ryan Cohen added 100,000 shares for roughly $10 million.

This brings Cohen’s ownership interest to just under 12%. Cohen acknowledged the purchase on Twitter yesterday: “I put my money where my mouth is.”

For the second time this week, PureCycle Technologies $PCT is on our list with a sizable insider purchase. This time it was director Timothy Glockner revealing a roughly $10 million purchase.

Here’s The Hot List, with data through March 22, 2022:

Another name that’s back on our list again today is JELD-WEN Holding $JELD. Turtle Creek Asset Management continues to accumulate shares.

In its latest filing, the Toronto-based firm revealed another $6.5 million purchase. That brings its total holdings to about 8.4 million shares, which represents an ownership stake of over 9%.

Thilo Schroeder, director of Revolution Medicines $RVMD, purchased over $3.4 million of shares in the small-cap biotech company.

Select Equity Group made another large purchase of 2.5 million shares in Signet Jewelers $SIG. The asset manager now owns over 8 million shares, or 16% of the company’s outstanding stock.

Last but not least, there was some bullish flow in out-of-the-money call options for Robinhood Markets $HOOD. Investors were active in the April 8 $15 calls yesterday.
