Peltz Ups Janus Stake Again

March 16, 2022

Executives and corporate insiders have been busy to start the week as we have another long list of Form 4 filings today.

Among them is another large purchase by Nelson Peltz’s Trian Fund in the British asset management firm Janus Henderson Group $JHG.

Following a purchase of about 1.5 million shares earlier in the month, Peltz just purchased another 1.4 million shares in recent sessions.

The roughly $46 million investment brings his total holdings to 31,185,286 shares, representing about 17.5% of JHG.

There was also a notable purchase by SkyWest $SKYW director Jerry Atkin for $2,786,300 of the regional airline stock.

Here’s The Hot List, with data through March 15, 2022:

In the software space, Durable Capital Partners just filed its fourth Form 4 in a matter of weeks as it continues to build a position in Duolingo $DUOL.

The investment firm now owns almost 3 million of the outstanding 22.5 million shares.

Callaway Golf $ELY is another one worth mentioning from today’s list, as both the CEO and CFO just filed Form 4s revealing 16,000 and 15,000 share purchases, respectively.

Last but not least, we continue to see bullish options activity in commodity stocks with another Freeport-McMoRan $FCX sighting on our unusual options list.
