Announcing Chart Summit January 27th-28th

December 21, 2016

I've been a full time technician for well over a decade. During this time, I've been lucky enough to meet and become close friends with some of the best and brightest technicians in the world. I regularly discuss the markets with them over email as well as the various conferences and speaking engagements that we all attend. We have spirited debates over what the market is going to do next, who has the better process for identifying opportunities and who nailed or missed the most recent big move. Without fail, I learn something new every time I have these types of discussions. So it got me thinking, and I realized that other traders and investors around the world would love to be a fly on the wall for these conversations and learn some new things too. It's been my goal for the past year to make this a reality, and that day has finally come.

Chart Summit is a 2-day virtual conference, broadcasting live from the internet, and will bring together an elite group of professional technicians who will walk you through their process and then show you how they are applying these methods to the current market environment. This event is FREE for all to attend and is fully committed to providing both educational value and actionable market commentary. You can register for it here.

It will be held on January 27th and 28th and we’ll kick off the event Friday night with perspectives from influential investors outside of the technical community. Howard Lindzon, venture capitalist, fintech extraordinaire and founder of Stocktwits loves his charts and is going to tell all of us why. Josh Brown, the Reformed broker and star of CNBC Halftime Report incorporates technical analysis in his work every day. He’ll tell us how technical analysis came to be such an instrumental part of his process as a blogger, TV personality and registered investment advisor. Phil Pearlman, master of all things social finance, will talk about the science behind the psychology of Supply and Demand dynamics.

On Saturday we'll bring in some of the top technicians in the world to discuss their process for finding excellent trading opportunities. All of our speakers come from different backgrounds and each has a unique perspectives on the market. Peter Brandt has traded futures during 5 different decades. Most of us can’t even comprehend that. We also have Gail Dudack who was a regular on Wall Street Week with Lou Rukeyser and a past president of the Market Technicians Association. Charlie Bilello is a two-time recipient of of the Charles Dow Award. Brian Shannon of Alphatrends.net is considered a pioneer in bringing together Technical Analysis and social media. I remember watching his YouTube videos on technical analysis back in 2005. Do you know how long that is in internet years? Jeff Hirsch publishes the famous Stock Trader’s Almanac every year, a must read for every investor. He’ll be sharing with us what sort of seasonal tendencies we should come to expect in 2017. Scott Redler promised to talk about his Red Dog Reversal pattern that has personally helped me find excellent risk vs reward opportunities in the past. Greg Schnell from Stockcharts.com will discuss how he finds stocks showing both high momentum and relative strength readings and how he views the market from the perspective of a buy side fund manager.

As the dates get closer, we will be making more announcements about Chart Summit, the must-attend event to kick off 2017. In the meantime, make sure you register here at www.chartsummit.com and when you tell your friends about it, you can use the hash tag #ChartSummit.

I hope you're as excited as I am. A big thank you goes out to this amazing list of presenters!

See you guys there!
